Indications
By fat grafting at an experienced Plastic Surgeon can restore the atrophy of the adipose tissue of the face, soften deep wrinkles, fill the skin surface abnormalities throughout the body, increase the volume of specific anatomical areas. Atrophic (healing) scars can also be treated anywhere on the body (eg acne scars, post-operative scars, etc.)
Surgical technique
Fat is taken from selected parts of the body that are considered ideal donor areas (peripheral region, through thigh surface, etc.) with fine atraumatic cannulae. The fat that is removed is processed in a special centrifuge and thus the fat is in a fluid form suitable for its grafting results. It is infused with fine syringes at multiple levels to ensure the survival of adipocytes and the rejuvenation of tissues at all levels.
Type of anesthesia
Surgery is almost always done with local anesthesia and sedation.
Operation Time
The surgery lasts from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the size of the areas we want to remodel.
Stay at the clinic
Fat grafting is considered a one-day operation. For this reason, the patient leaves the hospital on the same day, after a few hours of surgery.
Postoperative period
In the first 8-10 days the person is swollen and bruised. But these symptoms subside relatively quickly. The face regains its natural and youthful outline and appearance in 2-3 weeks.
Back to daily activities
Patients may begin to have a facial massage 1-2 days after surgery. They can also return to their daily activities in about 7-10 days. Avoiding sun exposure and using sunscreen with a protective index of 50 is essential in the first 2 months after surgery.
Results
The final results are fully visible after 2-3 months. The results of this practice last for a while and the advantage of this technique is that the results are natural and other injections can be made in the area after some time. Transplanting the fat to the specific areas we want to do in person has the advantage that this fat is 100% acceptable to the body while other products can potentially cause allergies or other incompatibility problems.
